Routes into Our Industry

With this week being National Apprenticeship Week, we’ve been reflecting on the many talented members of our teams at Site Surveying Services and Tri-Tech who have entered our industry through Apprenticeships, T-Levels, and other training pathways. We have always believed in the importance of these routes, as they help bring new talent into the industry while also supporting our existing team in developing their skills. We believe that supporting the next generation of surveyors is key to meeting the increasing demands of this industry and to contribute to this continued growth of the wider surveying sector.

Building on this experience, we are pleased to announce we have developed our own Pathway to Surveying— a specialist, industry-focused route into surveying. By combining hands-on experience with professional training and recognised qualifications, the programme gives aspiring surveyors the opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career.

Our trainee surveyors will work alongside experienced professionals on diverse projects, from conducting land surveys to using cutting-edge technology like laser scanners and GPS equipment, gaining hands-on experience in real-world environments.

In addition, trainees will progress towards a formal surveying qualification through The Survey School—the UK’s only commercial training centre accredited by The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors.

We’re thrilled to announce that Jess, our first trainee on the programme, has already made a fantastic start. She’s only been with us just over a week but has already been getting hands-on experience assisting with a measured building survey in Burnley. She is quickly developing her skills as she begins her journey into the surveying profession.

We’re looking forward to welcoming even more new trainee surveyors to our team very soon. We’re excited to see how they develop and grow within the industry.
